National/Area Hire Update
All UAW/GM employees should have received a letter from GM with details regarding a web based Employee Placement System effective 1/11/10, you can and should go to (www.uawgmjas.org) to choose what and where you would like to transfer when openings occur. (Duplicate letters are available in Chairman’s office for your assistance!)

Closed Plant Status
Prior to Thanksgiving break, the Local Union requested closed plant status! We now have been informed by the International Union that we at Willow Run have Closed Plant Status effective immediately. This status will afford our members greater transfer opportunity according to Appendix A of the National Agreement.

Updates
2010 here at Willow Run will be a challenge due to the possible turnover of members. Be assured the Leadership of Local 735 will do all we can to keep you updated as to all events that will impact us.

63A’s & 63B’s
Due to the New Year, 63A’s & 63B’s are now purged. If you are interested in transfers to other department or teams you must do so in the Training Dept at Bay L-28.

Schedules
Current schedules are:
4T80 on 1/19/10 will be 120 a day
4T40 is now 1400 a day
4T65 is now 865 a day and is going to 1128 a day on 1/19/10.
No expected down weeks for the rest of 2010 as we build inventory.

Super Bowl Party
2/7/2010 – 5:00 p.m. $10.00/per person
Includes: Set-ups, beer, refreshments and friendships, 50/50, squares, so on.

Auto Show Tickets
Auto Show Tickets available at the Local, $8.00 a piece until gone!

Vacation Payoff
Vacation payoff is 1/29/2010.

There will be 2 sets - One (1) from old GM and One (1) from new GM

$275 for 2010.

UAW National General Motors Sub-Council Meeting
The UAW National General Motors Sub-Council Meeting will be held 1/24/10 thru 1/29/10 in Chicago, Illinois. We will be participating in Sub-Council 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 & 6. We will publish a Sub-Council report when we return.

Membership Meeting
The Union Meeting for Sunday, January 17, 2010 has been moved to Sunday, January 24, 2010, due to holiday of Martin Luther King Jr. Day, Monday, January 18, 2010.
